Important - Volunteer Disclaimer – Heroes Walk and Roll
Thank you for volunteering at Heroes Walk and Roll, in support of Lansdowne Children’s Centre. By participating as a volunteer, you agree to the following:
Representation & Conduct: You are a representative of both the event and Lansdowne Children’s Centre. We ask that you demonstrate Lansdowne’s values of respect, inclusion, diversity, empowerment and safety throughout the day.
Punctuality & Attitude: Please arrive on time for your assigned shift with a positive attitude, ready to contribute and enjoy the day.
Safety & Outdoor Awareness: This is an outdoor event. Dress appropriately for the weather, stay hydrated, and follow all safety guidelines.
Breaks and Refreshments: We are working to schedule a break for most volunteers from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. during the walk. This is the best time to enjoy available refreshments and any lunch/snacks you bring with you (recommended).
Waiver & Registration: All volunteers must sign a waiver at registration. This includes acknowledgment of potential risks and agreement to follow event protocols.
Self Declaration: Although a Vulnerable Sector Police Check is not required, volunteers are asked to self-declare any past convictions, prosecutions, or other legal matters that may be relevant to guest safety, allowing us to determine appropriate volunteer roles and responsibilities.
Proof of Identity: Please provided photo identification when checking-in at the event volunteer registration table. Drivers license, health card and student card are acceptable examples of photo ID.
Media Release: Photos and video will be taken during the event. By volunteering, you consent to your image being used in future promotional materials, including social media, print, and digital campaigns by Lansdowne Children’s Centre.
